Turkey Day 2014

This year's Thanksgiving was one to remember. With being away at college and constantly being busy it's easy to forget just how much you miss home. I rarely go home due to the fact that I hate driving and I have so much going on with classes and Kappa Delta. It was nice to finally get home after sitting through hours of traffic and sit down and just breath. I left all homework and books at school, so that I could focus on family and myself for once. Thanksgiving day was filled with tons of food, most of which I brought home with me. I was able to catch up with my step dad's side of the family as well as my brothers and of course my mom and step dad. Mom and I managed to take a cute selfie too.

Each morning I was woken up by our overly hyper Australian Shepard, Nova. We spent hours playing fetch. He couldn't help but jump on everyone's lap during Thanksgiving lunch, only because he wanted to give everyone kisses.

Over all, this year's Thanksgiving was nice and relaxing. Plus I finally got to catch up on some extra sleep. Tell me what you all did for Thanksgiving this year! Did anyone go Black Friday shopping?

Hello lovely readers and welcome to my blog!

I thought the best first post would be to tell you all a little about my self and what this blog is all about.

For starters my name is Lauren and I am an undergraduate sophomore at a university. I am studying Accounting while taking required classes for optometry school as well. I understand that what I'm studying sounds like such an odd mix, however Accounting is essentially my back plan if I do not make the required grades to make it into optometry school.

I come from a small town down south, however I'm not the most country girl out there, but I do love my country music, cowgirl boots, and tailgating.

I am also a member of Kappa Delta Sorority where I have held several small leadership positions as well as I just received the title on our 2015 council as Vice President of Membership Education. I will be doing a post shortly all about my leadership experience in Kappa Delta as well as other fun ideas and topics about sorority life.

My plan for this blog is to be a place where I can talk about life as college student and offer advice to those about to attend school or currently in school. Feel free to ask any questions or request any specific posts!

Have an amazing Thanksgiving!
